‘Contact’ – Featuring Mumsdollar and the Redeemed Motorcycle Team

For the first time ever, Auckland-based Punk-Rock band Mumsdollar are to perform live in Kerikeri. The Redeemed motorcycle team, will also feature, showing off their impressive array of Harley's and sharing about their experiences.  A free sausage sizzle and nibbles will kick off the event at 6:30pm.

Bay of Islands Singers – ‘Elijah’

The Bay of Islands Singers will begin their 2008 season with a performance of Felix Mendelssohn’s famous oratorio ‘Elijah’, conducted by Peter Watts with guest organist John Wells. Soloists are Tania Priebs (soprano); Carol Maher (contralto); Kent McIntosh (tenor) and Daniel Morrison (bass).

A Night with Beau Tyler

Some may recall the sell-out performances of Peter Feeney in ‘Milo’s Wake’.  Peter returns to delight the Northland audience as ‘Beau Tyler’.  A Night with Beau Tyler takes an entertaining satirical swipe at the self-help movement.  The character of Beau Tyler is based on the popular television character he played in the Tip Top Memphis Meltdown series of television commercials.

This century-old take on a popular Grimm fairytale still resonates today, as the audience follows Hansel and Gretel along the overgrown path from childhood innocence to adult awareness.

This new production of Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel boasts an all New Zealand cast and creative team.  Directed by well-loved New Zealand actor Michael Hurst, who describes his interpretation of Hansel and Gretel as ‘fairytale opera with a kick’.
