The Centre and its performances add vibrancy, style and culture to our Far North lifestyle, which in turn supports growth and widening of economic benefits within our community.  In just a few years since its opening, most would agree that The Centre has already made a considerable difference to the quality of life in the Bay of Islands.

As a not-for-profit community organisation, The Centre at Kerikeri relies on a variety of funding sources to help underwrite internationally acclaimed artists, educate young audiences, create important community programmes and maintain our remarkable facility.  

As is the case with similar facilities around the world - ticket sales and venue hire revenues are not enough to cover the costs associated with The Centre’s operations and maintenance.  Support from individuals, corporates, sponsors, volunteers and other partners is essential to sustain the Centre’s performing and visual arts, and other community programmes.

These people are the life blood of The Centre.  When you become a Centre Volunteer, you are joining a team of people who share a passion for the arts, who have a great sense of style and graciousness, and last but not least a keen love of fun.
